Common Issues
Faded Prints
- Low toner (most common)
- Draft mode enabled
- EcoMode active
- Wrong paper type setting
Vertical Streaks
- Dirty corona wire
- Damaged drum
- Toner leak from damaged seal
Horizontal Lines
- Worn drum
- Dirty rollers
- Low toner
Spots
- Loose toner in printer
- Dirty paper path
- Damaged cartridge seal
Diagnosis Steps
1. Print Test Page
Use built-in quality test from Settings > Reports.
2. Check Toner
If low, remove and gently rock side to side 5-6 times.
Rock horizontally and gently. Never shake vigorously or invert — this causes leaks.
3. Clean Corona Wire
Slide the green/blue tab fully each direction 3-4 times.
4. Inspect Drum
- Check for scratches or marks
- Never touch drum surface
- Minimize light exposure
5. Clean Paper Path
- Power off and unplug
- Remove toner and drum
- Wipe transfer roller with lint-free cloth
- Toner-rated vacuum for loose toner
- Reassemble and test

- Replace toner: Uniform fading, "toner low"
- Replace drum: Repeating marks, visible damage
